DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars hope to kick off their five-game homestand on a winning note Monday when they face off against the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, who have not enjoyed much success in the series.
The Stars have won five straight vs. Anaheim, including all four matchups this season. The Mighty Ducks have just seven total goals against the Stars this season and have not managed more than three tallies in any of the encounters.
The all-time series between the teams stands at 37-16-0 in favor of Dallas.
The Stars set an NHL record on Sunday with a 4-3 triumph over San Jose - the team's 10th win of the season in which it trailed after two periods.
Mike Modano had a goal and two assists in regulation and added a tally in the shootout for Dallas, which improved to 10-0 in the new bonus format.
Anaheim, which sits in a tie with Vancouver for eighth place in the Western Conference, is coming off Sunday's 4-3 victory over Columbus. Joffrey Lupul's power-play goal midway through the third period provided the difference in the Ducks' sixth win in eight games.
