Colorado (37-25-6) at Los Angeles (37-27-5) 10:30 pm EST
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Colorado Avalanche will be without two of their biggest weapons when they visit the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.
Already without rookie sensation Marek Svatos, who leads the team in goals but is out for the rest of the regular season with a shoulder injury, the Avalanche lost leading scorer Alex Tanguay in Sunday's 6-5 loss at San Jose.
Tanguay sprained his knee in the first period of Sunday's game and did not return. Despite his absence, Colorado rallied from a 4-1 deficit to level the game, 5-5, only to give up a late goal to Alyn McCauley.
Sean Avery, Michael Cammalleri and Eric Belanger scored third-period goals and Mathieu Garon made 23 saves as the Kings posted a 3-1 win over St. Louis on Saturday.
Los Angeles has won all three meetings against Colorado this season, and is 7-2-0 with two ties in its last 11 home games in the series.
