Boston (27-30-11) at NY Rangers (38-19-10) 7:00 pm EST
NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Brian Leetch will play his first game as a visitor in Madison Square Garden on Monday when the Boston Bruins visit the New York Rangers.
Leetch, who is sure to get a huge ovation from the crowd, holds Rangers records for most games played (1,129), goals (240) and assists (741) by a defenseman, and is second in franchise history to Hall of Famer Rod Gilbert with 981 points.
The 38-year-old Leetch won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1994 as he helped New York end its 54-year Stanley Cup drought.
However, the Rangers traded him to Toronto in early March 2004. He signed with Boston after the lockout, but was injured and could not play in the Bruins' first visit here November 20 due to a sprained ankle. When the teams met in Boston on January 21, Leetch was sidelined with a groin strain.
The Atlantic Division-leading Rangers won their second straight game following a season-high six-game losing streak with Saturday's 5-2 win here over the Maple Leafs.
Hart Trophy candidate Jaromir Jagr collected a goal and two assists to surpass the 100-point plateau for the season.
Brad Boyes recorded his first career hat trick to lead Boston to its second straight win, a 4-2 triumph over Carolina on Saturday.
Boyes, who ranks third among rookies in points scored with 54, scored all three of his goals in the third period to extend his points streak to five consecutive games.
