No. 8 Arizona (20-12) at No. 1 Villanova (26-4) 5:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Allan Ray proved that he is fine after a scary situation.

Ray will look to continue his hot shooting when top-seeded Villanova faces a very dangerous No. 8 Arizona in the second round of the Minneapolis Region on Sunday.

The reason that the Wildcats (20-12) are so dangerous is because of their athleticism, which could easily negate the talented four-guard attack for Villanova.

The team appeared in turmoil when leading scorer Hassan Adams was suspended for the Pac-10 Conference after being arrested for suspicion of DUI on March 5. However, Arizona had a solid showing there and received a 22nd consecutive invitation to the NCAA Tournament.

Adams and the team came into the "Big Dance" appearing not to have missed a beat as they shredded defensive-minded Wisconsin for 94 points on 59 percent (35-of-59) shooting on Friday.

Adams not only scored 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting, but did a outstanding job guarding the Badgers' Alando Tucker, who managed 19 points on 5-of-15 from the field.

The 6-4 senior guard will now turn his sights on Ray, who came back from a gruesome eye injury suffered in the Big East tournament to hit five 3-pointers and score 19 points in a 58-45 win over Monmouth on Friday. Randy Foye, the Big East Conference Player of the Year, added 17.

While Ray and Randy Foye had solid showings, the rest of the Villanova squad struggled in a lackluster effort, shooting just 31 percent (16-of-52), including 7-of-25 from the arc.

The Wildcats will need to be much better on Sunday against an Arizona squad that is 11-2 in second-round games since 1985.

Arizona owns a 2-1 mark in the all-time series, with the Wildcats claiming a 72-64 win in the most recent contest here on January 19, 1991.
