CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim have a golden opportunity to pick up some much-needed points in their bid to reach the postseason.

Anaheim looks to win for the fourth time in five games Friday as they attempt to complete a season series sweep of the struggling Chicago Blackhawks.

The Mighty Ducks are in ninth place in the Western Conference, two points behind Vancouver for the final postseason berth, while leading San Jose by one. Anaheim wraps up its weekend Sunday against Columbus.

Teemu Selanne scored his 29th goal - his highest total since 1999-2000 - for Anaheim, which had its three-game winning stopped in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.

Playing the third contest of a four-game homestand, Chicago has lost five of seven and is in a battle with St. Louis and Columbus to avoid finishing last in the West. The three teams are separated by four points.

Kyle Calder scored a tie-breaking goal in the third period and Mark Bell added his 21st for the Blackhawks in Wednesday's 3-2 triumph over the Blue Jackets.

Joffrey Lupul scored two goals and Dustin Penner broke a third-period tie to lead Anaheim to a 4-1 victory over Chicago in their last meeting February 12.
