Georgetown barely broke a sweat in their first-round win over Belmont, while Boston College was in a lather after a tough game against Texas Tech.

The Hoyas will look to take their place in the Sweet Sixteen Saturday when they battle the No. 7 Eagles at Joel Coliseum in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Oddsmakers currently have the Hoyas listed as 8½-point favorites versus the Eagles, while the game's total is sitting at 128.

The Eagles took out the Bob Knight's Red Raiders 84-75 Thursday afternoon in their first-round game in the NCAA Tournament. Boston College covered the 2.5-point spread and the combined 159 points sailed OVER the day's posted total of 136.

Tyrese Rice led the Eagles with 26 points from 8-for-18 shooting and Sean Marshall added 21.

Jessie Sapp poured in 20 points on Thursday afternoon to lead the Hoyas to a leisurely 80-55 first-round victory over the No. 15 Bruins.

The Hoyas also managed to cover the 17-point spread in that contest, while the combined score went OVER the posted total (126).
