The fans at New Orleans Arena will get to see a 22-game win streak continue or end Friday when the hot Memphis Tigers face No. 15 North Texas Mean Green in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Oddsmakers currently have the Tigers listed as 18-point favorites versus the Mean Green, while the game's total is sitting at 145.
Memphis boasts the longest win streak in the nation and North Texas brings limited big-game experience, after winning the Sun Belt Conference over Arkansas State. The winner faces the victor of the Nevada-Creighton game in the South Region.
Memphis held Houston to 51.9% from the field in Friday's 71-59 win in the final of the C-USA tournament, but the Tigers failed to cover the 15-point home spread. The 130 combined points were UNDER the posted total of 141.5.
