Boston College will try to move into the second round of the NCAA Tournament by beating Pacific on Thursday at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.

Pacific won the Big West Conference Tournament this season, while Boston College earned a bid as an at-large team.

Boston College opened as 8-point favorites in this Minneapolis region game.

Bob Thomason's team hopes to build upon a 78-70 win over the 49ers. They were 7-point favorites in that game.

Al Skinner's team was busy last game losing to Duke in the ACC Championship Game 78-76 as 5-point underdogs.
