Sunday's I usually do my main grocery shopping and today they had these fresh homemade apple pies on display right when I was walking in the bakery section. I try to eat clean all the time so I passed on the store bought. The smell must have stuck in my head though.
When I went home, I peeled two small cortland apples, diced them up into really small pieces and put them in a small frying pan with pam spray on the bottom. Heat was on medium and I added 3 packets of splenda and a few shakes of apple pie spice. When they were soft, I put the apple mix on a plate, added some crushed graham crackers and a drop of reddiwhip. (Crushed oat cerial and some fat-free ice cream would be another idea) Craving went right away.
Then it was back to flank steak, brown rice, and steamed veggies for the rest of the day....
