EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- One of the league's top road teams this season, the Edmonton Oilers will try to wrap up a three-game homestand on a positive note when they host the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Monday.

A 17-8-4 club away from home, the Oilers have moved to 12-10-2 at Rexall Place by starting the homestand with an overtime loss and a 3-1 win over Vancouver on Saturday.

In snapping a five-game slide at home, Edmonton got goals from Ryan Smyth, Jarret Stoll and Raffi Torres to move within two points of the Canucks, who enter Monday tied with Calgary for first place in the Northwest Division.

Rookie Michael Morrison won his third straight game and improved to 9-2-0 by making 16 saves for the Oilers, who have won 10 straight here against the Mighty Ducks.

Since a 6-3 loss to Edmonton on January 25, Anaheim has won four of its last five to pull within four points of Colorado in the race for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere returned from a four-game layoff to make 35 saves in the Mighty Ducks' 2-0 win at San Jose on Saturday, recording his 21st career shutout. Giguere had missed the time due in part to disciplinary reasons after losing his cool in the setback to the Oilers last month.

Giguere allowed five goals in the loss and received 16 penalty minutes for twice attacking Smyth, who scored once and angered the Anaheim netminder for his play in front of the net.
