1st steroid cycle - advice needed

Hi guys and gals,

So firstly I need to mention that this is not a cycle for gains but a cycle to replace my already non-existent testosterone levels. I had blood work done due to low libido and wanting to sleep constantly and my testosterone level is 10.2nmol/l or 289ng/dl.
I am 34 years old and made the decision to try a cycle of testosterone enthanate to see if my mood and energy levels change. My doc wont touch me as I am still in the "normal level"
I have carried out research on PCT's, taking anti-oestrogens during cycle etc, but these seem to be directed to users of much higher levels than I plan to use. I was going to start on 200mg a week for a 10 week cycle and get blood work done half way through to see if my levels are sufficient. My questions are:

Is a 10 week cycle sufficient or should I go shorter or longer?

Should I inject bi-weekly or once weekly?

Should I be taking an Anti-Oestrogen during the cycle or just have some on hand in case of sore nipples?

What kind of PCT should I undertake with this level of test?. What would the dosages be? How long should the PCT be?

Should I be using HCG before I finish the cycle?

Do I jump back on to another cycle once PCT has finished?

Any advice would be most appreciated.

I have returned to the gym after 5 years off, almost got my gains back straight away. I returned because I was feeling weak and tired now I just have sore joints and tired!

So this really isn't about the gym, its about your lifestyle? What problem are you trying to fix?

I can say from experience that TRT helps with some things but it is not a magic bullet and it introduces its own set of problems.

Cycling (juicing -> PCT -> juicing -> PCT) is for people who ARE happy with their natural hormone production and don't want to screw it up permanently. I don't know why you'd want to cycle. The only reason I'd think you would want to PCT is if you tried the test thing and didn't think it was for you to get whatever you had back. But I doubt you would have enough experience in 10 weeks to make that call.

My advice - don't screw with your hormones until you have to. Then a doc will be willing to help.

289ng/dl. is very low for your age and even low overall. Not sure how that is normal range, anything below 400 is hormone hell.

normal range to these doctors is like averaged from people in their 20's to 80's in all types of phyical conditions. It dont mean much in my eyes

I know what you are both saying and it is definitely a lifestyle thing, symptoms such as low mood, sore joints, tiredness and low libido. I don't want to "play" around with my hormone levels if I can help it, but not sure what the alternatives are?. I know that there are a few test boosters on the market but not sure if trying to boost something that is practically non-existent is worth it. Do you think I sholdn't bother ccling with a low dose?

Hurricane,

That's why my doc won't touch me as its in their "normal range", but I agree its not really normal if I have the same level as a 80 year old!

you dont want to be below 400 bro.. you should get it to above 500

I agree, that's why I want to start a course ASAP. I have researched the long term affects of low test such as heart problems and dementia, I think the risk of using an exogenous hormone out weighs the other effects.
So what do you think to my questions and I should add, do I need to cycle?

Thanks

i would focus on see how high you can get your test levels naturally first, if you are considering trt and might never come off

If you improve your diet to be healthy and scedule a regular workout routine and follow it for a few months. You levels should go up a great deal. Also enough sleep is very important also

If that dont work, then i would try this

Protein

I suggest you do what I'm doing cause I'm in the same position that you are.
I'm 44 years old and my T level is 297.
I've decided to do my first cycle which is 500 milligrams week of TEST E.
I also went to the doctor but he only wants to give me 300 milligrams a month TRT.
So you go onto a cycle and do 500 milligrams or 400 a week.
This includes all the necessary requirements that go along with a cycle.
Do your PCT.

Than you can see how ur gains R after your cycle.
It's then that you will decide if you want to cruise at 200 to 300 milligrams a week.

This stuff takes a lot of research and I've been researching on this board and other forums for the last five six months.
Just be smart about it.

It sounds to me like you need to do a lot more research so take your time and read up and educate yourself.
