PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Two teams that already have changed coaches this season meet for the fourth time Thursday when the Pittsburgh Penguins host the New Jersey Devils.
Michel Terrien has lost four consecutive one-goal games since replacing Ed Olczyk, who was fired December 14. The Penguins have dropped 12 of 13 and are last in the league in wins (8) and has the fewest goals in the Eastern Conference (94).
Mark Recchi scored his 10th goal and Michel Ouellet added his third for Pittsburgh in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
After replacing Larry Robinson behind the bench, Lou Lamoriello has fared a little better than Terrien, winning two of his five games and moving the Devils one point ahead of the the New York Islanders for third place in the Atlantic Division.
Brian Gionta and Brian Rafalski scored two goals each and Martin Brodeur made 23 saves as the Devils snapped a three-game losing streak with Wednesday's 7-2 triumph over the Washington Capitals.
Patrick Elias, who has been out all season with hepatitis, has resumed skating with the team but is not expected to play.
