With the threat of an 0-16 season gone, do the Dolphins play better or worse against the Patriots in Week 16? The line has moved in favor of Miami and their road pass defense ranks in the Top 5 of the league. However, the Patriots own a 7-3 ATS mark in the past 10 meetings with Miami.

Oddsmakers currently have the Patriots listed as 22-point favorites versus the Dolphins, while the game's total is sitting at 45½.

The Dolphins defeated Baltimore 22-16 as a 3.5-point underdog in Week 15. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (37.5).

Cleo Lemon completed 23-of-39 passes for 315 yards with a touchdown for Miami, while Greg Camarillo caught three passes for 109 yards with a touchdown.

The Patriots defeated the Jets 20-10 as a 20.5-point favorite in Week 15. The combined score fell UNDER the posted over/under total (41).

Laurence Maroney rushed for 104 yards on 26 carries with a touchdown, while Tom Brady completed 14-of-27 passes for 140 yards with an interception.

Miami won for me last week and captured their first win of the season, but they’ll have no chance of staying close to the Patriots in this game. New England will apparently play their starters in this game even though they’ve locked up the #1 seed in AFC playoffs and my math model favors the Pats by 21 points. I can certainly see the Patriots winning by even more than 3 touchdowns, but they are 0-3 ATS laying more than 17 points this season. I’ll lean slightly with the Pats.

Math model? Nerd! LOL.
If it works, stick with it.
