Colorado is one win away from possibly earning a rematch it badly wants.
The 22nd-ranked Buffaloes can secure their second straight Big 12 North division title Saturday when they try to win at Iowa State for the 11th straight time.
Colorado (7-2, 5-1) can earn its fourth trip to the Big 12 title game in five years by beating Iowa State. It would set up a likely rematch with No. 2 Texas, which routed the Buffaloes 42-17 on Oct. 15 at Austin.
Despite being in the perceived weaker division of the conference, coach Gary Barnett believes his team can compete with anyone.
``The last four years the North and South divisions have split Big 12 championships,'' Barnett said. ``We beat Texas in 2001, and Kansas State defeated Oklahoma in 2003. That tells you how equal things have become.''
