The Texas Longhorns and Nebraska Cornhuskers will both be trying to pick up a win on Saturday when they battle at Memorial Stadium.

Oddsmakers currently have the Longhorns listed as 6-point favorites versus the Cornhuskers, while the game's total has not yet been posted.

Colt McCoy set a Texas record with six touchdown passes as the Longhorns cruised past the Baylor Bears 63-31 last week. Texas covered the 27.5-point spread and the final score sailed OVER the posted total of (49).

McCoy completed 21-of-32 for 276 yards as the Longhorns erased an early 10-point deficit for their sixth win of the season while Limas Sweed and Billy Pittman each caught two TD passes.

The Cornhuskers easily defeated the Kansas State Wildcats 21-3 last week and covered the 9.5-point spread. The combined score fell well UNDER the posted total of (44).

Marlon Lucky rushed for a TD, carrying the ball 12 times for 75 yards and Zac Taylor passed for 134 yards with one touchdown.

Sorry i meant when betting on a game and the total posted score is say 49 does this mean if the total score doesnt get this high you lose even if your team won and covered the spread?

no you should still win, the only time the total posted score matters is if you do a over/under bet. dont see many of those events around.
