Jets/Ravens clash set for Sunday
The New York Jets will be looking to rebound from a 26-20 loss to Jacksonville Sunday when they take to the field in Baltimore. But they'll have to do it without the injured Chad Pennington in the pocket.
The Jets will try and pull out a win as 7.5-point road underdogs. Oddsmakers expect this one to be a defensive battle and have opened the total at 32.5.
Last time out, at Giants Stadium against Jacksonville, the Jets as favorites lost to Jacksonville 26-20. The game was a Jacksonville cover and an over play.
Brian Billick's troops were at Tennessee last game and came away with a 25-10 loss, a game that went under 36.5. Oddsmakers had them as 3.5-point favorites in that one.
With the league's #31-ranked offense, Baltimore either needs a breakout game on the ground or through the air or it's up to the defense to keep them in this one. The Ravens average just 8.5 PPG and just 291.5 yards of total offense.
