1 week post surgery - tips and advice needed

Hey everyone,

So I'm 1 week on from Breast surgery - half under half over muscle so my chest muscles were cut so still in some pain.

I'm still taking my VAR 5mg per day - my diet has been rubbish - been feeling sorry for myself.

I cant take any ECA - because Aspirin is a no no after surgery.

I'm thinking there is little point in taking clen as not working out.

I've started the pre contest diet that Superqt gave me today drinking green tea might try and go for a walk later today just a short one.

Feel like I'm piling on the bodyfat and losing all my definition already.

Any tips on things I can do / take / to help ?

Already feel like a couch potato for not going to gym and have 5 more weeks of this - this is hell!?!?! I'm climbing the walls

Hope you are all good xxx

hello annie,

i stopped by to say hi and introduce myself. i have found a home here on ef. i am glad your surgery went well. i would like to follow this thread and know how you come along with the surgery. are you glad you did it? what would you do differently and do you have any regrets?

Hi Clarice :)

Surgery went well - only small implants to give me back what teh combination of 2 children, approaching 40, weights and reduced body fat has taken away.

regrets - no I dont think so - not big at all which is what I was worried about

Annoyed at myself really for being in so much pain for vanity's sake - thats the only thing and not being able to do things that I would normally do but I'm sure it will be worth it.

My surgery was a dual plane breast aug - no gym for 6 weeks.

I'm lloking for diet tips and supplement / fat burner advise really to help me get leaner (if at all possible )during this off time

I think different women handle recovery different. I didn't deal well with the pain and was out of work for a week. The biggest thing that helped me was realizing that since I wasn't working out I had to adjust my calories accordingly. I can normally put away some food but I had to really stay on top of my diet. As for supplements, I pretty much cut them out for 6 weeks while my body recovered. Not sure if that helps but it was my experience.

I agree I was up and walking around like normal 3 days after my surgery actually went and got my nails done. LOL I was at the gym just doing light cardio with in two weeks but as Dr. orders didn't lift a thing tell 6 weeks after.

I would keep the diet tight and not touch fat burners tell your cleared to go back to the gym as they will slow down the healing process. Your body is likely producing enough cortisol on its own without adding fat burners into your system to further stress it. You have to put this in prospective it is 6 weeks of your life if you follow Dr. orders and don't stress your system too much. You have all the time in the world after that to get into the best shape of your life :)

I agree with SuperQ, you have to allow your body to heal first. You shouldn't rush it. The workout will be there when you're healed and your body won't fall apart.

Thanks Guys - I know you are right that is what I had told myself - no fat burners until I'm back at the gym

I went for a short 20 min easy walk today just to get out of the house.

I promise to be good - have drawn up an eating journal and put a notice in the kitchen encouraging me not to cheat.

Still going to continue with the VAR at 5mg to try and preserve my muscle.

This could be the longest 6 weeks of my life LOL.

I feel you the six weeks was the longest I had taken off from lefting in almost 7 years so it was hard for me as well. The walking is a good idea it will help you clear your head and feel like your doing something. On the upside when I got back in the gym lifting I made some of the best gains I had in years so there is a silver lining.

Thank Heavens for that :D, that's something at least
