DETROIT (Ticker) - The two best teams in the Western Conference square off Monday when the Dallas Stars visit the Detroit Red Wings.
The Stars will need to win each of their final two games to break the franchise record of 114 points set in the 1998-99 campaign, when they won the Stanley Cup.
Defenseman Trevor Daley scored off a feed from defenseman Sergei Zubov late in the overtime period Saturday as Dallas posted a 4-3 triumph over the Minnesota Wild.
Zubov registered a pair of assists for the Stars, who have won four of their last five.
The Red Wings have won seven straight games and have 122 points this season, the second-highest total in franchise history.
