ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- Two teams not known for their ability to score goals square off Thursday when the Phoenix Coyotes visit the St. Louis Blues.

Phoenix has had a disappointing stretch with seven losses in its last 11 games, slipping to last place in the Pacific Division. The Coyotes have just 24 goals in 11 games and have taken 38 shots in their last two contests.

After losing to Dallas on Monday, Phoenix got goals from Geoff Sanderson and Keith Ballard in Tuesday's 3-2 defeat to the Minnesota Wild. The Coyotes were 1-of-9 on the power play and have failed to score in 22 of their last 23 chances with the man-advantage.

St. Louis is inching closer to being left out of the postseason for the first time in a quarter-century. The Blues are last in the league in wins (11), points (30) and is 29th in goals (124).

Mike Sillinger, who has tallies in his last six games, netted his 20th for the fourth time in his career, but the Blues lost for the fifth time in six shootuts in Wednesday's 4-3 defeat to the Dallas Stars.

Jamal Mayers and Aaron Downey scored in the third period to give the Blues a 5-4 win over Phoenix in their last meeting December 20.
