TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Martin Brodeur and the surging New Jersey Devils have been the NHL's hottest team in 2006. On Thursday, they look to win for the 11th time in their last 12 games when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Since dropping a 6-3 decision to the Toronto Maple Leafs on December 31, the Devils have won 10 of their last 11 to climb back into postseason contention in the Eastern Conference.

Brodeur has been the catalyst, posting a 1.60 goals-against-average and a .940 save percentage. He made 24 saves Tuesday to record his 79th career shutout as New Jersey rolled to a 4-0 triumph over the New York Islanders.

Jamie Langenbrunner and Scott Gomez both tallied a goal and an assist for the Devils, who have yielded a total of just 19 goals over their last 11 games.

New Jersey hopes to keep building momentum Thursday against a Tampa Bay squad hoping to bounce back from Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Florida Panthers.

Brad Richards scored his 99th career goal for the Lightning, who have won four of their last six.
