Edmonton (26-18-6) at Los Angeles (30-19-3) 10:30 pm EST
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Edmonton Oilers have made the most of their frequent flyer miles this season.
One of the league's top road teams, the Oilers look to keep pace in the tightly-packed Northwest Division on Thursday when they visit the Los Angeles Kings.
Edmonton opened a three-game road trip by scoring four times in the third period of Wednesday's 6-3 victory over the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The win boosted the Oilers' record to 9-1-4 in its last 14 road contests.
The win moved Edmonton to within five points of first-place Calgary in the division race. The Oilers also trail Vancouver by three points and Colorado by one.
Chris Pronger scored a pair of power-play goals in the third period and Shawn Horcoff added a goal and two assists for the Oilers, who are the only team in the Western Conference with more wins on the road than at home.
One day after a shootout victory over the Mighty Ducks, the Kings appeared fatigued in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks.
Joe Corvo, who had the shootout clincher against Anaheim, scored the lone goal for Los Angeles, which managed five shots in the first period and three in the second against San Jose.
Horcoff had three assists for the Oilers in a 5-3 triumph over the Kings on December 23, which evened the season series, 1-1.
