The 90's weren't the golden age - the 70's were

I think the golden era was a little bit of both. It just depends on the perspective you have.

The golden era tends to be overrated. The things that you see are the best of the best bodybuilders. You don't see the average bodybuilder though.

I definitely think today in a meat head gym you'll find guys who look as good as some of the top guys from the golden era.
