Just when you think Sarah Palin cant get any stupider

She isn't the president. She is a pop-culture whore. Big difference.

And yet she's compared to a sitting president on a daily basis.

That's what I find so interesting. Her politics and presentation don't stand out to me, but she's got an impressive list of detractors. How are her positions vastly different from Newt Gingrich?

He understands the origins and reasons for those positions. She just recites them as learned "values".

For this next three questions, let's accept that statement as unconditionally true.

If they both hold the same correct answer, does it matter what logic underpins their position?

Which is better: A wrong-minded person who completely understands the origins of their positions or a right-minded person who simply recites someone else's dogma?

Don't we all recite someone else's dogma at some point? E=mc^2 -- you and I both know that. Are either one of us prepared to derive Einstein's law of relativity from scratch?

takes about 3 pages of scratch paper, but I got it. Couldnt do it anymore tho.

And when is Barry going to stop with this "Corpse-Man" business? Somebody really needs to help him on that. It reminds me of how Bush can't say "Nuclear".

LOL @ the concept of right and wrong in politics. It's all opinion.

Which would you prefer as a Physics professor, someone who can do the mathematical derivations, or someone who just recites rote text.

I'd like to think Hitler was wrong. So was Chairman Mau as was Joseph Stalin.

Why are we picking professors here? I thought we were picking future political leaders. Leaders need the right answers to problems, and I don't care if they use good advice, gut instinct, years of political science training or their horoscope. The correct answers are correct regardless of the sausage that makes them.

Because you were the one who brought up Relativity. Last time I checked, physics is taught by professors, not politicians.

Then you obviously didn't understand the discussion.

The entire point has nothing to do with picking professors and everything to do with the fact that you and I both operate on at least some values that we simply "recite" (your word, not mine).

Please explain to me how a teleprompter would be useful in a Q&A session.

How useful is a hand written cheat sheet for a pre-screened Q/A for someone who has given the exact same talking points over and over again?

She can't remember what her past answers were?
