and have kids. Have any of you with teenage kids heard this shit they are saying about beind DEAD. For example I was riding to Beezy F Jr's training session with his personal trainer last night and I ask if he done his homework, he says no. I say Im gonna tell your momma and she is gonna be pissed, he says how you gonna tell her when your dead. I hear all the kids saying shit like this. WTF is up with that.

I guess I'm lucky that my daughter has never given me the slightest bit of trouble. She gives her mom attitude, but her mom abandoned her, so fuck it...

I coach high school baseball Rob.

These kids say the dumbest crap sometimes.

I've heard the "when you're dead" comment before. I just challenge them to make it happen and show me how tough they are. All in a joking spirit of course, cuz my team is a great group of kids.

Beezy hit two homers today last at bat he hits a bomb out to the next county in left steps on the plate and yells you can't get me out because your dead all the kids in our dugout start chanting you're dead you're dead you're dead. It's fucking wierd. The kids in the stands join in you're dead you're dead. It's kinda creepy. His mom is pissed.

It's probably a gen Y parent thing...One of those everyone gets a trophy in soccer phenomenon. I respected my father because he walked the walk and even though I thought I knew everything as a teenager; he treated me with respect and I couldn't question him on moral authority . He paid me an honest wage for my chores and he expected me to be responsible, I didn't have a curfew and I was home before midnight every weekend.

Well I was so set back by the damn comment and what he meant that I couldn't react. I know it's some kinda joke but after the ball game incident yesterday he got yoked when he got home. And by yoked I mean jacked up in the corner. And the you're dead shit is officially dead in the house of Beezekiel. If he says it again he knows I'm full on whooping his ass. I think yesterday was good for him because he has confirmation that even as big and bad as he thinks he is I can still handle his ass like a child. He was actually taken back that I could man handle his ass and the fear is reborn. I've been very lenient with him because he's a good kid in most aspects but he understands now that I could snap him like a twig and he will prolly live longer because of it.

does that happen even up in your parts? where the people are like deathly afraid of coffee? I would murder a kid right in the middle of times square for that shit, can't imagine what would happen to a kid in those parts where the nearest law enforcement officer is on patrol somewhere half a state over.

No clue. It wasn't in the article. Apparently there are some sort of decency laws in UT aimed at keeping kids from viewing what's deemed inappropriate. She asked the clerk to remove the shirt from the display, he couldn't do it without corporate approval, so she bought every shirt they had.

The standards of dress for men and women are very conservative. No/minimal cleavage, no short-shorts, sleeveless shirts are a no for girls. Two piece swimsuits are discouraged. None of this is a "you must do" but they are the guidelines given.

Statewide, school dress codes don't allow this either. Kids are sent home if they violate dress codes.

Every time I see a teenage girl wearing a spaghetti strap with her boobs half out, and her butt cheeks falling out her short shorts, I want to smack her parents for allowing her to even own clothes like that. Nobody, religious or not, should allow their daughters to dress like a street-walking, bus stop tramp.

I'm not aware of the decency laws, other than you can't display pornography in public (I'm pretty sure that's a federal law anyways), and airport stores are not allowed to sell pornographic reading material/magazines.

Borderline stuff may come down to individual city mandates, but I'm not exactly sure what they are.


Given our very strict laws of chastity and morality within the church (abstinence outside of legal marriage, no use of pornography, masturbation, etc) the images on the shirts would definitely piss some people off.

I probably would have just ignored it.


We have stores in the malls that sell dildoes and stuff, so I don't see why this got more attention than those things. Granted, those things are behind a beaded-off section not visible from the outside, anybody can walk in that store and see all sorts of sexually oriented material for sale.

I saw pics of the shirts, they were provocative, but not necessarily pornographic.

First of all, understand that women can wear whatever they want. It's their choice. However, what they should wear vs what they do wear are sometimes two different things.

Married men and women, who wear the under garment must keep them covered. For men and women both, that is shorts that cover up to the knee, and the shirts are a short sleeve for men, and a 1/4 sleeve (shorter than the mens) for women, with no cleavage for woman.

The biggest immodesty issue for male dress is boys wearing their pants halfway off their ass with their underwear or butt cracks showing.

Everyday right after school. I don't attend practice during the spring because of work. But I run summer and fall ball myself. We practice in the evening during summer/fall because we have daylight available and it's 100 degrees outside at 3 pm.

Again, they are not rules. They are guidelines. Men and women are free to dress as they please. Whether it adheres to guidelines of modest clothing or not is their own choice/perspective.


Anything or any way a man could dress and be perceived as immodest or inappropriate is discouraged, as is for women. Just so happens that chicks also have boobs, and guys are pigs and get turned on by anything, so covering your boobs, stomach and upper thighs are encouraged to keep men from being lustful towards a woman's body. Men choose to do that, but if a woman is flaunting her tits falling out of her shirt, she's encouraging the behavior.

Gender neutral guidelines include ridiculous hair styles, no multiple piercings on ears (no piercings for men), no body piercings, no tattoos, etc

Tattoos are something that we definitely don't encourage, but if someone gets some they are not going to be kicked out or anything like that. God doesn't turn away the sinner, he invites them to be a better version of themselves.
