: Seems to me that even if you don't "sign" for a package they still might be creating a database about your purchases and may issue a search warrent based on this info.
: What do you think?
This is bad news. If there is a large scale
organized effort put into mail monitoring,
I'd strongly suggest so cease mail order at least for now. You never know who you are ordering
from, whether the package has been openend, whether you've been tagged.
If you do order, never use your real name.
Never open the package right away.
When you do open, discard the packaging and
do not keep AS in your house.
If you don't sign for a package, there is no lawful
proof that you received it unless several packages coming to your address have been
tagged. However, even then, unless they find
something in your place, you're in the clean.
Looks like there is still a small, tiny loophole
remaining if you do things right, but it's way
too risky to exercise it. Be very, very careful.
