: I read your post in regards to Nubain. Your perception on Nubain is completely
: inaccurate. It doesn't matter how the drug differes from a opiate, it is still
: an opioid and causes all of the usual side-effects, including withdrawl symptoms.
: I have used it extensively. I liked it because of it's long half-life. I got
: addicted to it and it damaged my life.
: You offered some very bad advice. I'm hoping no one took it.
: I think you're a moron. (FYI)
Flames are generally not considered a rational point of debate, whether or not the point of contention is valid. While Nubain and the opium agonists/antagonists are indeed still opioids, and therefore carry the same sided-effects et-al, they are much less likely (at least on paper) to carry the same psychological dependence as the more potent opioids as Morphene, etc. Not to say it doesn't happen, because it does, but Nubain is 'far' less potent in this regard than Heroin. It's interesting to note than due to its' antagonist properties, it can induce withdrawl symptoms in opioid-dependent patients.
Just because you supposedly got addicted to it, and it supposedly ruined your life (if it was indeed the drug which did this, and not you yourself, why are you hanging around a board advocating drug use?), doesn't mean the drug is 'evil' in some way - it has its uses, and is quite effective in this regard. I certainly wouldn't suggest someone obtain Nubain illegally for 'recreational' use - but if one were to do so, I can assure you that (on paper) it is less 'addictive' than Heroin, at the very least, and therefore preferable.
Sorry for counter-flaming
