: You told me to check the money maker 2000 archives for the article on saw
: palmetto but it wasn't available to read. Would you care to paraphrase it
: for me? I just basically want to know if it's a valid anti-aromatase for
: an androgen cycle. Thanks.

The article is 90% about the use of Saw Palmetto
to combat the conversion of test to DHT. The articles
that I have read theories that the saw palmetto
blocks the enzyme necessary for this conversion
as do pygeum and perhaps others.

There was only one brief mention of using saw
palmetto as an anti-aromatize to reduce extra
estrogen. I'll quote it for you:

"Luckily, saw palmetto may be able to help in this
area too. Studies have shown that it also has potent
anti-estrogenic properties. Taking it may prevent
gyno or other negative side effects caused by being
exposed to too much estrogen..."

Thats it. He does give a reference for the study as
"F. Di Silverio, et al., "evidence that serenoa
reopens extract displays an anti-estrogenic activity
in prostatic tissue of benign prostatic hypertrophy
patients" Eur Urol 21.4 (1992): 309-314.

I have not read the study, but if saw palmetto inhibits
the enzyme that converts test to DHT, it may also
inhibit aromitaze enzymes as well. I dont know of
anybody that has used it though for this.
