: Yo Mic and any other experts.
: I have read the posts and searched it too. I do not
: have a version of netscape that has the show alert
: anytime there is a cookie given so I cant block them.
: I tried downloading the shareware cookies program
: previously suggested and got a message that it was
: intended to be used under a different windows program
: so now I'm getting impatient & just want to delete them
: but there's a message on my cookies file saying
: "do not edit". My specific question still stands:
: What if I delete some individual cookies?
: What if I delete the whole file?
I've got Netscape 3.0, I have it set to alert me when a cookie is being sent. It asks me "Do you wish to allow this cookie to be sent?" I hit cancel and it'll try a few more times to send a damn cookie but they won't come.
Some places are worse than others, this place everytime you read a message you get one. Just keep hitting cancel, thats all I do and I haven't gotten any as of yet. Look in your NETSCAPE directory and find cookies.txt, you CAN edit this file contrary to what it says
just remove everything UNDER where it says Do not edit yada yada yada. There should be a musical symbol on a line by itself right under "Do not edit" just under that you may erase everything. I did it weeks ago and I have had no problems!
Hope that helps!
