For faster absorption and less pain, the gluteus medius(upper outer butt) is the site of preference. The spot ideally should be 5 to 7 cm(2 to 3 inches) below the iliac cresttop of the pelvic girdle above the butt where the spine ends and femur starts). The upper outer quadrant of the muscle is preffered since it is thick and has few nerves. Choosing the proper syring is ideal.Syringes vary from 15(ouch!) to 29 gauge, 15 being a huge barrel, and 19 being an insulin needle. The closer you get to 29, the less it will hurt in penetration, but will take longer to inject.I recommend a 23 gauge 1 ".Another consideration is the length of needle.Ideally it should be from 1 to 1 1/2 inches for intramuscular effectiveness. You could go ahead and use smaller, but if your bodyfat is high, it might not be absorbed effectively. There are other injection sites, but this being your first cycle, keep to the basics(the butt!)
