It is a matter of preference, as long as you are in the
muscle. All the above answers are great, but I feel the
need to add one little thing that my friend does, but is
not in the books I've read.
When he injects into his shoulder, he uses a 1 inch
needle with a 25 gauge. This is very small, but you can't
feel a thing he says. It will take a lot longer to get the juice
into the syringe, and more effort to inject, but he loves it.
This is useful if you inject frequently and are worried about
scars (small), or pain.
When done in his ass, he uses a 23 gauge with a 1-1.5 inch
needle. He doesn't have much fat, so he can get away with
a 1 incher there.
Remember though, these are NOT diabetic needles, as they are
too short.
