: : Anyone knows for a drug which could be used by an endurance anthlete (cyclists, triathletes) to increase endurance levels (muscle definition, oxigen consumption etc)??

: Winstrol 'V' works quite well... I believe that's what Ben Johnson was on...

Winstrol V is NOT an endurance drug. It is an A.S just like all the others - just a lot weaker than some. Ben Johnson used it because he thought it would clear his system in time because it is one that clears the system a week or so after use. He also used it because it does not cause water retention - and extra weight is something a sprinter does not need. I've also heard a rumor that he bought the winstrol on the advise of his doctor, thinking that it was a designer steroid that would not be detectable. Turns out he bought a bogus designer product that turned out to be winstrol.
Anyway, back to the endurance question, all A.S do help out endurance. They increase the amount of slow twitch muscle fiber - the oxygen dependant type of fiber used for endurance. One study I read showed that anavar/oxandrin had the best results for endurance athletes.
EPO would be a far better drug for endurance, but with exercise carried out for long periods comes dehydration. You have to remain VERY well hydrated when on EPO, or you will drop dead like many cyclists have who use this drug. VERY risky for endurance.
I am thinking about using EPO for a bodybuilding show, because it increases the blood volume and therefore makes you look much fuller. But in a BB show you have to dehydrate to get rid of the subcutaneous layer of water, and this dehydration can be lethal when on EPO. Does anyone reading this happen to have insight into the use of EPO with a diuretic (a potassium sparing mild diuretic like aldactone)?
