: Need lose fat. Thought would try body opus. Will do about 200 calories below maintenance. Question is about carb up. If I follow the plan the first 24 hours will put me 1000 calories over just on carbs alone and the second 24 hours will be maintenance on cars alone. When I add protien calories I will be way over on calories. Is it ok to eat this many excess calories on a diet?
On this particular ketosis diet, you have to carb up on the weekends in order to get a mild anabolic stimulus. If you follow the diet correctly,
it is almost impossible for a mild calorie overload to become bodyfat. You will be so low on muscle glycogen, that all of the surplus carbs will
go there. Duchaine has designed this diet to do this. If you are tough enough to follow the diet, it works very well. I have tried it myself.
If you want maximum results from this diet, follow it exactly as it is designed.
For those of you who don't have this book, you are missing some great info on dieting in general. There is excellent info on all aspects of
dieting. It has good info on all 3 of the most popular diets, including high carb-low fat, high protein-medium carb-medium fat (my favorite),
and the Bodyopus diet. There is also a great section on thyriod drugs.
Get the book. Knowledge is power.
