: Nope. Completely different hormone. Or should I say completely worthless.
Well, it's not a completely different hormone. Dihydroepiandrosterone is the precursor to many hormones in the body. That makes it the precursor to estradiol (estrogen), cortisol, AND testoserone. By increasing the amount of DHEA in one's body, all of the aforementioned hormones will be increased. I have heard from many people that by taking HUGE amounts (like 600 mg/day) of DHEA, along with cytadren, they are getting decent results. You see, when you take DHEA, the high estrogen and the high cortisol that goes along with its usage will negate the effects of the increased testosterone (cortisol is basically the antithesis of testosterone). The drug, aminoglutethimide (cytadren), combats both the cortisol and the higher estrogen levels. If you don't have access to cytadren, something like clomid will work - but not nearly as well. It is important to take very high quantities of DHEA because it is worthless to take it in small amounts, since VERY little of it actually makes it through the intestinal tract.
