Yeah. Here's what to do:
Go to the Options pulldown (no, not your boxers) menu. Click on the first selection - General Preversions (oops, I mean preferences - damn this AJ thing's got me all worked up (bowwowowowow!!!). In the middle of the page, you can choose what opens when Netscape starts up. Uncheck Mail, if its checked. Then click on OK.
Now, at this point, Netscape will continue to check for new mail every 10 minutes (a default setting). You will have ocassionally noticed a tiny exclamation point by the envelope in the lower right corner of the Netscape browser. That's why. If you want, you can adjust the interval or turn it off by going to Options/Mailand News Preferences and reseting the time interval or picking "Never". Remember to click OK if you make any changes. I recommend leaving it alone, since its nice to get love. I don't care for Netscape Mail' lack of capability, so when exclamation point shows up, I just open Pegasus Mail and read it or control its delivery (i.e. delete it before reading).
