: : A friend tried to have some gear sent to his house. After, three months without it
: : showing, he assumed that it was seized, not sent, whatever. Then one day the poatal
: : person shows up and asks if "Joe Blow" or whoever lived here. Of course, he said no.
: : The postal person had a letter in their hand. He did not get a real good look,
: : trying not to be too interested. But, he saw that it was a white letter envelope
: : with green writing for the return address. The only thing that he got in that glance
: : "U.S. Treasury". The letter looked sort of thick and the postal carrier had a
: : yellow slip, but he did not get a good look at it. So, was this a seizure notice?
: : I know that I heard if you get a notice to just ignore it. But, what else happens?
: : Does his address get added to some list of import "violators"? Should he worry
: : about someone showing up and breaking down the door. He has "prepared" for this by
: : relocating all of the musle mags, WAR, etc. So, I would assume that everything is ok,
: : right?
: I dont think your friend should worry to much about someone busting down the door. If they were interested in that they more then likely would have had the gear delivered and waited for your friend to pick it up and take it into your house and then bust down the door in hopes he had opened the package and had the gear hidden in his house. As far as being on some list.. I don't know. I have seen posts where some guys have had there stuff seized and had the order sent again and make it through and others claim there is some kind of list. If they do have a list then I would think they would have to optically scan every package for it to be effective. I don't know. Or maybe they notify the local post office to be on alert for any packages being addressed to that particular address. Anyone else got ideas on how this works or any proof that this list exists?
Dont worry about unless its a big a mount like 100 amps or so. I have the same problem, Irecieved a letter from the department of treasury from Kennedy airport. Its always a good Idea though to have everything out of the house as far as steroids, mags , tshirts or so. Thats just in case for the worse. But Like usually u will be allright. Hope this helps dude!
