: I enjoy a good discussion on this stuff especially
: when I learn something new- Thanks to both of you.
: Now, Yes I honestly do think that the increase in
: spermatogenesis that results from tribestan administration
: is the result of it increasing testosterone exactly
: the way I described above but who gives a shit about
: my opinion? Like I said, I'll review and examine the
: actual studies to see if I can find some more info.
the active principles in Tribestus extract are furostanol saponins
related to diosgenin. The literature only claims increased spermatogenesis and
libido not testosterone increases. I do not think it is wise to
go around saying that Tribestus increases testosterone unless there is some
proof and there is none out there.
: Some people could also say that just because a "precurser"
: is chemically similar to a final product, it doesn't mean
: necessarily that the body will convert it. Examples would
: be wild yam to DHEA and cholesterol to testosterone. An
: increase in wild yam and cholesterol consumption
: does NOT mean that you will end up with increased
: DHEA and testosterone does it? How does this affect proving
: that androstene increases test? Now dont get me
: wrong, I believe it does- but where are the tests
: that I can also review to prove that androstene is
: converted in the body to test? (no offence intended
: here). PA are you sure you're not just being a good
: business man and criticizing the competition?
The German patent for androstenedione clearly points out its oral
efficacy in increasing testosterone levels.
