For a murder case, they may employ such tactics. I seriusly doubt for a simply gear package they will take the time (and of course the Buck$) to go overseas to find the shipper and retrieve your original order envelope to test for DNA. Highly unlikely. I think if they had no other way the nab you, you'd be off.
