In addition to using AAS, I am also a supplement whore. I take everything from whey protein to calcium supplements in order to ensure that I get all the nutrients possible after lifting. And ever since the mid-90's, I've ordered all of my supplements offline.
But the other day I was in the mall, and decided to visit the GNC there to see their prices as well as what they had. Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience since the store was crowded and a pushy salesman rushed me immediately upon entering. I mean I'm sure that he makes commissions on selling things in there and probably has to make a sales quota, but this guy was desperate. He was trying to tell me about all of this stuff I had no interest in, and wouldn't shut up.
Needless to say, I didn't end up buying anything while I was in there and left emptied-handed. The whole experience reaffirmed why I like to buy supplements online instead of actually going into stores. Sure you have to pay shipping fees and it takes a little while to get here, but I'd rather wait and pay more than have to deal with some pushy, 135-pound punk who's probably never lifted a weight in his life trying to sell me on all kinds of garbage that begins with "X-Treme."
