This week I’d like to share with you a letter I’ve received from one our sponsors, Primordial Performance. This is a very interesting testimonial for one of the most exciting fat loss products to ever hit the market. It\'s the story of a guy who challenged the owner of Primordial to help him get those elusive six-pack abs and how he did it during a 5 week cutting cycle. You don\'t want to skip this letter! And a little further down, I\'ve got a coupon code for EliteFitness.com members to use to take an extra $10 off any Primordial Performance product.
Six Pack Abs - One Guy\'s Success Story
It was Sunday afternoon at Starbucks. I was waiting to meet up with Primordial Performance Owner Eric Potratz. He had approached me at a gym a couple months back to be a tester for some up-and-coming products. I was going to be testing a new topical fat loss product that was intended to work as a full body fat reduction formula, rather than just spot specific. This stuff was being hyped up big-time as the next big thing for fat loss, but without the use of any stimulants or diuretics. Being a supplement consumer for years, I had become numb to the marketing hype. There is always another product around the corner that claims to be the “key” to fat loss. Even so, I remained optimistic, as I had been pleased with other Primordial products, all of which were topical based.
Eric handed me two bottles of DermaTherm. Right off, I noticed the professional labeling and attractive brushed aluminum bottle. This stuff looked like it was the real deal. As I held up the bottle to take a closer look, Eric says “Ya know Joe, your holding the most powerful fat burner in the world”. I laughed, and said “Sure, I\'ll be convinced when I see the six pack.” We spoke for a few more minutes as I explained my diet plan. I told him I would be following a low carb diet for the next 8 weeks, with a majority of the carbs taken during the post workout period. Daily meals were going to consist of steamed veggies, grilled chicken, tuna, sirloin, brown rice, protein shakes and lots of BCAA pills. I kept things simple, and I knew the drill, which was why I was chosen as a pre-market tester.
Spring cutting became a familiar experience to me over the years as I had become well accustomed to my body and its response to diet and workout changes. If this DermaTherm was going to make a difference, I was going to notice it. Typically, I could manage to reduce my 15% body fat down to about 12% in 8-12 weeks by religiously adhering to my diet and workout program. During cutting I cycled ECA (ephedrine, caffeine, aspirin) and clenbuterol to help with energy and appetite control. Results were never spectacular, but respectable for a normal 32 yr old guy working a full time job. I would be doing all the same things this time around, but with DermaTherm thrown into the mix.
Things were about to get interesting…
7:30am Monday Morning
It was early morning crunch time. I had an hour to eat, shower n’ shave before having to be at work. I really didn’t have time to apply my DermaTherm, but the word \'commitment\' kept running through my head, so I figured “what the hell, it will only take a minute”. I jumped out of a quick shower after rubbing down with a loofa as instructed. I took a few pumps in my hand and rubbed down my legs, then a couple more pumps for my torso, and then a few more for my chest and arms. To my surprise, it dried almost immediately, which was nice. So far, so good. But then, all of a sudden, I felt this tingle. At first it was almost a light itch which quickly transformed into an extremely red skin flush. Almost instantaneously, this feeling began to take over my entire body. I started to wonder if I was having an allergic reaction.
My skin only got warmer… Damn!
After several minutes I felt and looked like I had just applied a tanning accelerator and jumped out of an hour long tanning bed session. I was bright red and my skin was noticeably warmer. It didn’t hurt, but for an unassuming first time user, it was quite a shock. I assumed it was all part of initiation into the DermaTherm club, so I stuck it out. After several minutes it seemed to level off, and I felt an internal sigh of relief. I stood still for a minute to take a deep breath. I could tell my heart rate had risen, but it wasn’t the sporadic or rapid heart beat I would normally get from caffeine or ephedra. Instead, it was a slow, deep, rhythmic pounding. It was empowering, and I liked it. I felt like the incredible hulk ready to bust through the giant glass mirror. I felt the blood pumping through my veins and circulating through my skin. I was crazily invigorated and tempted to do something – jumping jacks, a set of push ups, run a marathon. Finally, I said “screw it” and threw on the first pair of shorts I could find, an old pair of running shoes, and stuffed my work cloths into a back pack. Considering I hadn’t ran in over 8 months, I actually held up quite well for the three mile run to work. Fortunately I had the intense feeling of motivation carry me through the duration. I kept telling myself, “Im going to get ripped”, “Im going to get lean”. I hadn’t felt this inspired since my first cycle of D-bol in college. It was awesome.
With only a minute to spare, I ran into the office. I felt like the entire accounting team turned and stared, as if they had just seem me on Americas Most Wanted. Were they shook up because I broke daily routine? Were they coming unglued just because I ran to work? Whatever.

The second application evoked the same response, but this time I was ready for it. I paid close attention to the redness and noticed it went away after 45 min to an hour, so if I applied the product right after the shower the redness would be gone by the time I arrived at work. I also noticed that the cinnamon smell was gone by this period. Good thing, as I didn’t need anymore funny looks from the co-workers.
According to the info I received, the skin flush was a result of the trans-cinnamaldehyde and evodiamine which are known to be potent vasodilators. An interesting effect of the trans-cinnamaldehyde is its ability to enter the circulatory system and stimulate the adrenals to release catacholamines such as epinephrine. (1) This could explain the intense feeling of excitement that I felt immediately after application. Aside from this, evodiamine was a proven thermogenic which enhanced the lypolytic (fat burning) activity in fat tissue. (2) Both these ingredients also had known benefits in improving insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. This was a readily received benefit as diabetes runs in my immediate family.
4:00pm Friday
It was a calm Friday as I sat at my desk getting in the zone for my five o clock workout.
Then it hit me – a monster hot flash.
It was nothing like the skin sensation I had felt before. This was an internal heat that pulsed from inside the body. It reminded me of the hot flashes from running high doses of trenbolone, except I hadn’t used any AAS in over 6 months. It was like I was going through menopause. This was a tell tale sign of a thermogenic response from the DermaTherm, which sporadically occurred over the next few weeks.
It was reassuring to know that I was burning fat just sitting in my office. Apparently, this theromogenic response was from the 7-keto DHEA & kaempferol, which both have dramatic effects on energy metabolism and calorie consumption. 7-keto has a strong effect on increasing glycerol-3-phosphate, and mitochondrial malic enzyme activity in the liver. 7-keto also has the unique ability to mimic thyroid hormone (T4/T3) by increasing protein uncoupling and proton leak across the mitochondrial membrane. (3-5) Kaempferol was a natural flavonol that increased cAMP and cellular conversion of T4 > T3. These combined effects have significant impact on oxygen consumption and calorie burning. (6) The transdermal preparation was perfect for these ingredients, which helped 7-keto DHEA transform to a more powerful metabolite by making it pass through the skin and interact with the skin’s enzymes, and also by creating a 24hr “timed release” effect.
I got to the gym and began my 15 min bicycle warm up. Normally, this would just get my heart rate up, and get the blood flowing before jumping onto the weights. But this time, I was really getting warmed up. Within 5 minutes I was pouring sweat. I felt as if I was running a bike marathon through the Mojave Desert. This was intense, but quite gratifying, because I knew my fat oxidation had to be through the roof. The raspberry ketone component of DermaTherm has the ability to break up the fat molecules and make them readily available to the mitochondria for energy. (7) Raspberry ketone was also able to increase norepinephrine induced fat burning. (7)
I never quite experienced this thermogenic effect using ECA or clenbuterol alone, so I knew this was either directly related to the DermaTherm, or a synergy between the DermaTherm and the sympathetic stimulants. I was told that the combo of DermaTherm and a stimulant would be the most effective fat loss combo I could possible run, perhaps even more powerful than DNP.
After 1 week
By now, I had gotten used to the post-application skin interaction. It was still prevalent, but easier to deal with. Everyday I would look into the mirror to find some sort of visual reduction of body fat. Was the DermaTherm really working? Admittedly, it was hard to tell visibly. I didn’t look any leaner, in fact I almost looked bloated. After speaking with a PP rep, I learned that this was normal, and to be expected during the first couple weeks of using DermaTherm. The thermogenic effect was causing me to hold more water, which would hide any reductions in body fat for at least the first couple weeks. This reminded me of how I looked when I was on hGH or DNP. So I waited, and kept my fingers crossed for the end reward. Besides, it had only been a week.
After 4 ½ weeks
By now the visual difference was becoming obvious. The love handles had flattened out, the pectorals appeared harder, my obliques were showing through, and my legs had visible striations. I was obviously leaner, but until I could get my BF % checked, I wasn’t going to pass judgment. So I took 3 days off the DermaTherm to allow the extra water to clear, and went back for the 5 point caliper pinch test.
I saw the results, but couldn’t believe them. I said “Check again”. He did it again, and got the same result.
My body fat dropped from 15% all the way down to 9.5%! To my surprise I only lost 8lbs in total body weight. I was down from 190 to 182. No way, I thought. My body fat was down to single digits and I didn’t loose any muscle? This was unheard of for me, especially in less than 5 weeks!
How was it possible that I actually lost body fat and gained muscle mass? It must have been the anti-catabolic activity of the 7-keto DHEA which has powerful effects at blocking the muscle breakdown from cortisol. (6,7) No wonder I actually appeared bigger and more vascular. This was something that had always been impossible for me to achieve when I was in a calorie deficient state. Granted, I was on a diligent diet and workout program, but DermaTherm was no doubt the catalyst that really drove home the results. I was very pleased to say the least and left the gym with a smile on my face. Immediately after leaving, I called PP to share the news with Eric. He said “Hey that’s great, can you write a formal review for us?” I said “Sure, but you better give me a lifetime supply of this stuff!”
Later that evening, my girlfriend came over. I took my shirt off, about ready to jump in for a quick shower. She looked at me a said “Where did those come from?” as she pointed to my abs. I said “DermaTherm baby, DermaTherm.”
