Making a pill that can mimic the results of exercising and working out has been the goal of the diet industry for decades. Now, after many years of hard work, there may be a group of scientists that have made the biggest breakthrough the diet industry has ever seen with a substance called Resveratrol!

You don’t have to have a Ph.D. in biology to know that exercising is good for the human body. When a person exercises or works out they get the benefits of reducing or maintaining their body weight, keeping extra fat off so they look more attractive, minimizing their risk for heart disease, and having better overall health in general. I’ll spare you anymore of my boring talk about the advantages of working out.
But despite all of the numerous benefits that exercising provides a person, there are many who choose not to do it because of one big problem – It takes time! In our extremely busy society some people just don’t have half an hour to an hour to spare on hitting the weights or riding an exercise bike. It’s not that they want to be overweight slobs with no muscle mass whatsoever (although there are some lazy people who don’t mind this), they are just too busy to do anything about it.
And it’s people like this that truly wish they could find fitness at the bottom of a supplement container or in the form of an oval-shaped pill. Even those who do exercise wouldn’t mind cutting a few corners with the aid of a pill or something similar. After all, who wouldn’t mind skipping a workout every now and then and simply taking a pill to make up for it?
Well believe it or not, this seemingly far-fetched scenario may actually come to pass if what scientists from the Salk Institute and Howard Hughes Medical Center say is true. According to published reports by scientists, a drug called Resveratrol may be able to mimic the effects of exercising in humans.
The study was released in a publication called “Cell Metabolism” and told of how mice who were given the drug Resveratrol experienced tons of benefits that usually only come with exercising and eating right. The mice that were given the drug increased the quality of their health dramatically, burned calories even on high fat diets, had more limber muscles, and aged much better than the normal mice.
Furthermore, the mice also melted fat way better than normal with Resveratrol and kept incredible stamina as they were able to run 70 percent farther and 68 percent longer (time wise) than the non-Resveratrol taking group. Basically, Resveratrol improved most physical aspects of the rodents’ lives and also helped them to age quite gracefully in comparison to the other mice.
Ron Evans, who was a co-author of the study, summed things up very nicely when he said, “We have exercise in a pill. With no exercise, you can take a drug and chemically mimic it.” And a closer look at the study results definitely backed up what Evans said as it showed that the same cell-level changes that come with dieting and exercise were produced by Resveratrol.
David Sinclair, who also co-authored the Resveratrol mice experiment, weighed in on the matter by saying,” For the first time, we can mimic caloric restriction in an otherwise healthy animal. That\'s been the goal of the field for decades. We didn\'t know it was possible to let an animal eat whatever it wants, but still get the benefits. We now have evidence.”
Interestingly enough, the benefits of Resveratrol are not only exciting members of the public who are finding out about it but also those in and around the professional sports world. Some people like Evans think that the drug may be utilized heavily by the athletic community in the future even though the drug is still unapproved the FDA and would therefore be illegal to use by pro athletes.
And it’s very interesting that a drug that has typically only been studied for its anti-aging effects in the past is now being considered as something that could give athletes a huge advantage in the field of competition. Because, as shown in the mice, Resveratrol was something that was almost always considered to help smooth over the aging process (but not extend it).
However, the drug quickly shed its label as just an anti-aging drug during the trials in which it performed what could only be described as miracles on the mice – Especially in the area of running. Evans said so himself about the running aspect as he stated, “Honestly, I just don\'t know how that happens. Whether it would happen in a person, I don\'t know. I think it\'s a small miracle it happened at all.”
Primordial Performance includes a potent dose of 99% pure resveratrol in Sustain Alpha. This product serves as a potent natural Testosterone booster that can safely up-regulate the body’s production of testosterone. It also is the perfect product for enhancing PCT and speeding recovery from AAS.
But the thing to keep in mind about Resveratrol is that the miracles it performed were only in mice. And even though mice are often considered the perfect subjects for testing if something will work or not on humans due to their similar genetics and metabolism, they are not humans. There are no guarantees that Resveratrol will perform similar feats on humans. And there are especially no guarantees that Resveratrol will make it beyond the rigorous requirements that the FDA imposes on new drugs to make it through trials.
Another man involved with the study in Rafael de Cabo seems to be very hopeful about the drug in terms of human usage and voiced his opinion by saying, “The mice had tremendous health benefits from taking Resveratrol. If any of those parameters translate to humans, it will be tremendous.”

Adding to the optimism that Resveratrol could one day be used by humans legally is that it has been proved non-toxic in mice and in humans when used by them. This fact was re-iterated by University of Southern California gerontologist Valter Longo as he said, “It has been used for many years and, as far as I know, has not been yet been associated with any toxicity.”
Apparently drug company giant Glaxo Smith Kline really believes in the potential that Resveratrol possesses since they have decided to purchase the drug for a hefty price of $720 million. As David Sinclair said about the move, “You\'ve got to take aging research seriously if a company is willing to put down three-quarters of a billion dollars on it."
The truth is though that, to many people, Resveratrol almost seems too good to be true. After all, most are going to wonder how in the world a single pill can not only increase stamina, cut calories even on high fat diets, and provide numerous other amazing benefits to people. And I’m sure the FDA will certainly be wondering about all this stuff as well.
But, despite my skepticism about Resveratrol, I can definitely say that I’m pulling for the drug to be as effective as advertised. After all, who couldn’t use a drug that can burn calories and fat while one is at rest and also improve the quality of one’s life while they get up there in age. This is something you are especially concerned about when you start to get older like me.
