There’s no question that the media and authorities do whatever they can to create a giant, sensationalized story out of any steroid-related case. However, what happens when the two work together in order to create a giant fake steroid case and then throw an innocent man selling only research chemicals in prison as a result? Read on because the man who’s unjustly rotting away in a federal prison could be you someday! And we have the proof on camera!
By now I think we all know that the media turns into a bunch of vicious, blood-thirsty harpies when they catch the scent of a steroid bust story (as if they’re not already). News crews and reporters can’t get the van started up fast enough when they hear there’s a potential steroid raid in progress. In fact, getting busted for steroids is probably one of the best ways to guaranteed that you’ll get your own news cover story – even if you’re only caught with a single pill!
Likewise, the authorities love to use steroid users and sellers as an example when “upholding the law”. Since steroids are already demonized by the media, authorities want to ensure that these perpetrators do as much jail or prison time as possible. This way we can all sleep better at night knowing that there’s nobody out there on the streets using steroids to build bigger muscles or boost athletic performance.
Unfortunately – no matter how misguided this line of thinking is – this is the world we live in and things aren’t going to magically change overnight. But what would happen if a giant steroid raid was done at your house and no roids were found? Just some legal research chemicals! Going further, what if several news crews showed up outside of your house and spread lies and rumors that you have been dealing steroids for years? Even worse, what if your assets were frozen by the government so you couldn’t hire a lawyer, and then you were forced to sign a deal which would put you in prison all to cover up the media and authorities’ blunder!
Although these scenarios may sound far-fetched they are a reality for Chris Navoy who was once the proud owner of a bustling online research chemical, supplement store and research chemical conversion kit company. But now, after a bogus steroid raid by the authorities and sensationalized reporting by various news stations, Navoy’s business and life are in ruins!
In the Beginning
Let’s backtrack a few years ago when times were much better for Christopher Navoy. Chris, who is a solid bodybuilder in his own right, was starting to see his business and personal life take off in a way few of us could ever imagine. Navoy’s main two business ventures, PumpnPose.com and Research Chemicals.com, were starting to haul in enough money to where he could live the good life.
Seeing as how he was making so much money, Navoy and his wife Jennifer decided to relocate from Florida to an upscale neighborhood in Roswell, Georgia. Unfortunately, living in an upscale neighborhood is not always what it’s cracked up to be, and not even Navoy’s $750,000 home could shield him from nosy and judgmental neighbors. Eventually, one of these neighbors would lead to Chris’ downfall as he got in a fist fight with another resident. Still angry from the fist fight, the enraged neighbor decided to call the police and tell them that Navoy was dealing steroids on a large-scale level.
Not wanting to waste the opportunity to make a huge steroid bust, authorities were quick to act as they began investigating Navoy. Once the investigation was “completed”, police decided to raid the house in hopes of finding lots of illegal anabolic steroids. After kicking down doors, rummaging through trash, and going through the Navoy’s mail, authorities turned up nothing... nothing except materials used in Chris’ research chemical business. But I’ll get to that in a second...
A Hot News Lead
Anybody who watches the news knows that every station likes to cover the same thing over and over again. Murders, robberies, and drug busts are the top stories while things like festivals, speeches, sports, and anything else that doesn’t deal with people getting killed or arrested are back stories. A major steroid bust will always land as one of the top news stories since it combines both the aforementioned demonizing of steroids by the media along with a drug bust.
So when news stations in the Atlanta area heard that there was a steroid raid brewing in suburban Roswell, Georgia, they fired up the news vans and made it as quick as they could. Unfortunately, they forget their integrity and research back at the station as you’ll see in any of the video links we’ve provided. Never in my life have I seen such sloppy and biased journalism, and I highly encourage you to check them out!! I’ll give you my own thoughts on each station’s miscoverage too...

Let’s start with the Channel 5 news coverage where Navoy’s home and business was referred to as a multi-million dollar steroid operation. Notice how in the middle of this video Fox Channel 5 points out the husband and wife team were averaging $25,000 - $30,000 in sales a day of human growth hormone, testosterone, and a copycat version of Cialis even though this stuff wasn’t really found in the home.
Yellow journalism aside, just do the math on the $25,000 - $30,000 a day thing. If Navoy made $25,000 a day then he would make $9,125,000 a year; if he made $30,000 a day then he would make $10,950,000 a day through his supposed steroid sales. I don’t think I need to tell you how ridiculous this notion is because there are large scale steroid operations with numerous people working that don’t make anywhere near this kind of money.
In short, Navoy would have to be the busiest steroid dealer in history to pull this off, and do you really think he would want to live in an area with neighbors if he had this kind of cash? No, he would be upgrading to a mansion out in the country where no neighbors would be around to alert the authorities to his actions.
Continuing on to the Channel 2 news coverage, reporter Jodie Fleischer revels in telling people how Chris and Jennifer Navoy have been “peeking out of windows and shutting blinds trying to avoid our camera”. Even though nothing was proven at this point, Fleischer is already painting the picture that the Navoys are paranoid criminals.
I also like how they also make sure to include the one negative interview they got with the neighbor who says, “The kind of money they’re making means nothing cause… they did it illegally obviously. But I’m glad we got em’.” Then at the end Fleischer throws in the line, “Police say steroids sales are more common than ever”, out of nowhere. This is in great contrast to the part where it is reported that they just sold research chemicals meant for research purposes only and not human consumption.
Questionable Tactics
No matter what came of this case, Chris Navoy would certainly be suffering from the consequences of the police raid and biased journalism. The people in his neighborhood would never treat him the same and his business was already beginning to suffer as a result of what transpired in this situation. And the thing is none of the evidence confiscated in this case really justified all that happened to Chris.
In the end, the authorities’ big find was research chemical conversion kits which can extract Trenbolone from Finaplex H. But the thing is that Finaplex H pellets are perfectly legal as anybody can go into a local feed store and purchase these products. The main point in this is that Christopher Navoy did not sell anabolic steroids, HGH, or illegal controlled substances nor was any of this stuff found in his home. The only angle the feds had was the gray area of the legality concerning research chemicals and research chemical conversion kids.
Nevertheless, the authorities and prosecutors involved in the case decided to both confiscate and freeze over $2 million worth of the Navoys’ assets (a far cry from what they should have had if they were hauling in $25-$30k a day). Not only were assets seized that were part of his current operation, but money and assets he accumulated before Research Chemicals.com was opened were also taken. Essentially this meant that Chris Navoy would not have enough money to hire a lawyer which forced him to use a public defender.
As a final blow, charges of conspiracy to sell drug paraphernalia, conspiracy to commit mail fraud, and conspiracy to introduce misbranded drugs into interstate commerce were all leveled against Navoy. Without proper court representation and several bogus charges related to research chemical conversion kits hanging over his head, Christopher Navoy really had his back against the wall...
Final Verdict
When federal authorities have decided they have it in for you, there is little you can do to fight back. And the authorities definitely didn’t want to look bad after several news stations backed their raid with sensationalized coverage. Seeing as how this was the case, the authorities knew they had to put someone behind bars in this situation.
So in order to force a guilty plea, prosecutors agreed that they would perform the “generous” act of dropping charges against Jennifer Navoy if Chris would take a plea bargain. Left with few options Navoy decided it was in his best interest to take the plea deal and seal his fate.
After his guilty plea, Navoy received a sentence of 27 months in federal prison along with 3 years of probation after he gets out. Even worse than all of this is that Chris lost everything he had worked for in his life, and has to sit on that for over two years behind bars….
An Unjust War
The authorities did not kick down the Navoys’ door and raid their house in an effort to find research chemical kits. As of now, it is perfectly legal to sell research chemical kits provided there’s no proof that they are intended for human consumption. Instead, the authorities thought they would deal a huge blow in the war on steroids by taking down a suspected drug empire.
The prosecutors in this story did not think they were taking on a case where the end result would be forcing a man to cop a plea in order to ensure his wife’s freedom. Rather they were hoping that this case would be centered around a huge steroid bust where they would all make big names for themselves.
News stations thought they had an incredible steroid raid story to cover and, even though this wasn’t the case at all, they decided to report it as one anyways. And to my knowledge, no apologies have been made by any of the stations which reported misinformation as everyone seems to carry the attitude that the bad guy got what he deserved.
But Chris Navoy is not the bad guy making $30,000 a day that he was reported to be. Instead, Navoy was an honest business man who had built his online empire up to the point where he was able to live a dream life that some people only imagine. Unfortunately, this dream was torn by dishonest reporters, overzealous authorities, and career-minded prosecutors. And the sad thing is that Navoy won’t be the last person to have his dreams derailed for such reasons.
