Like a lot of guys, I like to watch the World's Strongest Man when it's on ESPN2. And in following the WSM, I've gotten to know Mariusz Pudzianowski quite well. Pudzianowski has won a record five titles and has finished runner-up two more times. All of this makes him the most celebrated strongman in the history of the event.
After conquering the strongman world, Pudzianowski has set his sights on a new career in mixed martial arts. And so far, that career has gotten off to a pretty good start with him winning 2 out of his first 3 matches. The first win came via a 43 second knockout win over Marcin Najman in Poland. After his dominating victory, Pudzianowski took on Yusuke Kawaguchi in another fight in Poland. This was a much closer contest as Pudzianowki won via close decision in a sloppy brawl.
Unfortunately for Mariusz, his win streak came to an end in the next fight vs. Tim Sylvia. Sylvia is a former UFC champion and he was a true test for Pudzianowski. Pudzianowski made it through the first round, but the fight was stopped at the 1:43 mark in the second round. After this loss, it will be interesting to see where Pudzianowski's MMA career goes now.
