Photographer Alex Ardenti has graced EliteFitness.com with an extremely sexy pictorial of fitness model Monica Brant. But there’s more to this hottie than just her looks, a lot more!
When guys see photos of Monica Brant, it’s very easy to focus solely on her looks. With her curvy, lean, sexy body and cute face to match, it’s not hard to blame anyone who never makes it past her pictures. I suppose we’re not helping much either with the Monica Brant pictorial that is brought to us by photographer Alex Ardenti (you can find more of his scintillating photography, as well as plenty of hot women, at alexardenti.net and alexardenti.com).
But for those who can’t find their way past her beauty, you’re missing the opportunity to meet a very interesting person with far more dimensions than just her body measurements. She’s a woman who’s won numerous fitness competitions, the most notable being the highly coveted Fitness Olympia title in 1998, and has appeared on lots of magazine covers both nationally and internationally.
As if her accomplishments aren’t enough already, Monica also produces, promotes, and hosts her own fitness show called the “NPC Monica Brant Fitness Classic”. Her annual show has encouraged women across the country to join the amateur ranks of fitness bodybuilding. Monica has used her mind to encourage women to workout as well with her new book “Monica Brant’s Secrets to Staying Fit and Loving Life.”
Seeing all of the success that Monica has experienced in the fitness and bodybuilding world, one would think that her achievements were simply the culmination of a lifelong dedication to attaining the perfect body. Think of a child who went to a top-notch health club everyday with her aerobics instructor mother and learned the importance of healthy eating habits from her dietician father. Someone with the sculpted physique of Monica Brant couldn’t have grown up any other way, right?
The truth is Monica’s childhood took place far, far away from the confines of any trendy health club. In fact, much of her early life was spent in a polar opposite of any such place as she grew up on a ranch near the small Texas town of Castroville. And long before she began lifting weights, she was learning to lift herself onto the saddle of a horse.
At the age of 5, when many kids wouldn’t even get near a horse, Monica was already riding them. Her early teenage years even saw her giving riding lessons to others and training horses. Much of her love and knowledge of them can be attributed to her mother, who was a professional horse trainer. This love of horses eventually led Monica towards competing in equestrian competitions as she got older.

While she played traditional high school sports like volleyball and track (where she was on a state championship relay team!), Brant also competed in horseback riding sports not commonly seen around the country such as western pleasure, hunter/jumper, and barrels and pole bending. It’s no surprise that when she chose to go on to college that her major was none other than equestrian science. But this is the point where her life would begin to take a big twist.
While still studying in school, Monica began to realize just how hot she was. She started entering bikini contests and, with no astonishment to us, won many of them. These impressive bikini competition wins would lead her to become a Budweiser girl in San Antonio. Aside from her bikini competition wins and promotional work for Budweiser, Monica was also working out and lifting weights. It is here where she found the motivation to define a career.
This motivation came in the form of a photo of Marla Duncan. When Brant saw this photo of the 1990 Ms. Fitness USA competition winner, she was inspired. She was quoted as saying, “Her beauty and physique impressed me enough that I wanted to try what she was doing, fitness competitions.” And “try” she did as Monica was met with the same success in fitness competitions as she experienced in the bikini competitions. Her early regional Fitness USA wins and 1994 Muscle & Fitness Magazine cover shot convinced her that she had found her calling.
Many women across the country are certainly glad that Monica found her calling in the fitness world. Much like Marla Duncan did for her, she is working to serve as a role model for American women to stay fit and stay active. Even women outside the U.S. have had the pleasure of hearing her wisdom as she’s promoted fitness in places like Germany, Japan, Brazil, France, and many other countries. And while her sexy shape will always catch any guy’s attention, her warm personality and friendly manner will certainly help her catch the attention of women across the globe and spread her message to keep exercising and stay healthy.
