Over the years I've seen a lot of bodybuilding products move through the market. But I have to admit that the new protein-infused vodka I recently read about is a first!
The vodka in question is called "Devotion," and it's already being sold in the United States. Devotion is an 80-proof (40% alcohol) that also contains milk protein in the bottle. The protein is obviously marketed towards those who like to booze while trying to maintain a "healthy" lifestyle. And this sounds a lot like the people seen on Jersey Shore.
Speaking of which, the biggest star of Jersey Shore - Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino - is advertising the vodka. And while the vodka makes no claims about what it can do for people, the message looks clear: you can be ripped like The Situation while, at the same time, pouring massive amounts of liquor into your body and picking up a different skank every night.
Far be it from me to go against the mighty Situation or the makers of Devotion. However, this is one of the cheesiest ideas I've ever heard of in my life. The only people I think will fall for the concept of repairing muscles while simultaneously poisoning your body are the Jersey Shore fan boys. Those who are interested in real muscle gains will no doubt stick to pumping up while sober.
