I definitely like watching mixed martial arts and the heavyweight division is no doubt my favorite part of MMA. More specifically, I like watching Brock Lesnar the most because he's the true definition of raw power. Sure Lesnar honed his wrestling ability growing up and at the University of Minnesota, but his strength is what wins him a lot of matches.
Unfortunately, Lesnar fell ill last winter after a hole in his large intestine put his fighting career in jeopardy. In fact, the hole in Lesnar's intestine put his life in jeopardy after his wife, Sable, drove him around northern Minnesota and Canada looking for a good doctor. Fortunately, Lesnar recovered from his illness and will be returning to the ring on July 3rd to face Shane Carwin.
What's really interesting about the story is that I read where Lesnar's low fiber-high protein diet caused the illness. Lesnar was living off of a meat and potatoes diet mainly and didn't eat many fruits or vegetables. After the big scare, he has begun mixing in some fiber with his high protein diet so nothing like this ever happens again.
