In today's society, the word testosterone is viewed with a sense of contempt by many people. The mere mention of testosterone can invoke visions of some drooling, 250-pound linebacker with a screaming girl on one arm and a turkey drumstick on the other. Yes, many feminists and poetry-reading males would like us to believe that high test levels are a very bad thing, which I'll discuss more later.
But the truth is that many of you could probably care less about what some raging feminist or Buddhist hipster thinks of you. However, here's something that you might actually care about when it comes to high testosterone: a good portion of women like to pretend to have an interest in nice metrosexual guys, who care more about their eyebrow shape than biceps size.
So is this it? Do we as bodybuilders store the weights away, apply a tinted moisturizer, grab some estrogen pills, and start pouring our feelings out to any girl within a mile radius? Absolutely not! This modern-day notion of women always gravitating towards pretty guys with a soft side is as big a myth as your stomach exploding after eating pop rocks and drinking soda. As I'll talk about later, men with higher testosterone levels always get the girl in the end while estrogen-filled guys go home alone and cry into their pillows.
Moving beyond simply picking up women, testosterone is also extremely important for a variety of other reasons. Your good health, longevity, fat burning, survival skills, sexual performance and even financial success all receive a big boost from having higher test levels. I'll cover the testosterone benefits subject more below and also discuss the social/media stigma against test. I'll also cover why the environment is causing rapid estrogen increases in men and what you can do to combat estrogen while increasing testosterone levels.
The Many Benefits of Testosterone
As many of you may already know, testosterone is a steroid hormone that plays a huge role in developing male sexual characteristics. It has anabolic effects such as increasing muscle mass, strength and bone density along with androgenic effects like helping sex organs mature, deepening the voice and promoting body hair growth.
Moving past the Merriam-Webster definition crap, the exciting thing about testosterone is all of the benefits that elevating it can offer you. Some of the perks that you can expect from high test levels include confidence, more happiness, increased energy, improved sexual performance, fewer diseases, a better physique, a strong heart and a sharper mind. Hmm... a lot of these sound like traits that women really like in guys.
About the only thing missing here is money, which, coincidentally, also happens to increase with rising testosterone. Now you might be wondering how in the world can your having more testosterone lead to a bigger bank account? Well, luckily, a 2009 study by the National Academy of Sciences made this connection clearer. Researchers found that men with enhanced testosterone levels were less foolish with their money and more likely to take risks that could lead to big financial rewards. Sure some might see less financial generosity as a bad thing; but people don't become and stay wealthy by buying drinks for everybody in the bar and handing out money to second cousins in order to feel good about themselves.
Another positive by-product of high testosterone is increased survival skills. I'm not saying that more test will suddenly allow you to live off the land for years. But having increased muscle mass, more strength and a sharper mind will certainly give you a boost in any life-threatening situation.
High Estrogen - A Man's Mortal Enemy
Estrogen is a steroid hormone that's primarily found in women. However, men also have a small amount of estrogen since it helps prevent heart disease, increases bone strength and aids men in the bedroom. However, the key term here is 'a small amount' because guys don't want high levels of this hormone.
The scariest estrogen side effect for a bodybuilder is no doubt gynecomastia (aka man boobs). Too much of this hormone causes female-pattern fat distribution in males, which, unfortunately, can take you from flat-chested to a B-cup rather quickly. Other emasculating problems that can arise due to high estrogen include decreased testicular size, an increased risk of disease, underdeveloped genitalia and lowered libido. As you can see, elevated estrogen doesn't exactly create the picture of an ideal man.
So all you need to do to avoid these nasty problems is stay active, act manly and keep a balanced diet, right? Actually, estrogen levels can increase through means that are beyond our control such as pollution. Soot is a major culprit here because it's been shown to contain estrogenic compounds. And these compounds are making their way into our air and rivers through smoke, vapor and direct disposal.
Pesticides are another source of estrogen as they run off into lakes and rivers after being sprayed on crops. You may also encounter a large number of chemical estrogens through plastic bottles, Styrofoam, shampoo, paints, carpet, food preservatives, artificial ingredients and textile fibers. Other artificial estrogens come from paper used for ATM/cash register receipts, plastic shower curtains, antibacterial soap and Teflon cookware.
With everything that estrogen is found in, it's no wonder why, on average, men of all ages today have less testosterone than guys did in the 1980's and 90's. Furthermore, a third of American men over the age of 20 are obese while 40% of guys in their 40's and 50's are obese. This has in turn led to far more cases of diabetes, strokes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, osteoporosis and depression.
So how can we combat High Estrogen while increasing Testosterone?
It seems virtually impossible to avoid increasing your estrogen levels when so many products are filled with these hormones. However, the truth is that you don't have to fall victim to the estrogen epidemic – you just need a little help in the matter.
Dieting, exercising and reducing alcohol consumption are all ways to lower the amount of this hormone. But if you really want to avoid any possibility of getting bitch tits, you should use HCGenerate from NeedtoBuildMuscle.com.
HCGenerate combines a number of powerful ingredients to boost your testosterone levels while, simultaneously, reducing estrogen levels. As for the latter, HCGenwerate contains 500mg of 3 4 divanillyltetrahydrofuran, which, through clinical research, has been proven to lower estrogen by 35%. So while you may be picking up extra estrogen through various man-made products, you'll be lowering this hormone with HCGenerate.
Bringing everything back to our original discussion about increasing testosterone, Bulbine Natalensis can boost test levels by up to 340%! What's more is that Bulbine doesn't turn you into a bloated mess like most other testosterone boosters. So this ingredient allows you to pack on pounds of quality, lean muscle without adding nasty fat in the process.
Furthermore, your test levels could skyrocket 340%, thus enabling you to reap the aforementioned benefits of higher libido, improved well-being, increased muscle mass, fat burning, better survival skills and more confidence.
But Wait! Don't Women and the Media Loath Testosterone-Filled Men?
Having more testosterone and less estrogen can definitely make a positive difference in your life. But wait a minute... doesn't the modern-day media want us to think that a testosterone-filled man is a terrible thing!?
Furthermore, the entertainment world is quickly making men the new women while putting females in masculine roles. Films and TV shows like these are selling because men think the female leads are hot while women like the empowerment aspect of it all. It's a feminist’s dream that has truly come to fruition over the past decade and a half.
TV shows and movies cast women as tough gritty cops, supernatural hunters and lethal martial artists. You've got the girl-next-door Jennifer Lawrence as the strongest competitor in The Hunger Games, the slender Kate Beckinsale as a cold-blooded werewolf hunter in the Underworld series, model/fashion designer Milla Jovovich as a zombie exterminator in the Resident Evil series, fashion model Angie Harmon as a police lieutenant in Rizzoli & Isles, and plenty of other examples. Meanwhile, men in these films are often seen as submissive, bumbling idiots who are scared out of their mind.
Pardon me, but wasn't it not that long ago when guys like Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger dominated the action scene? Now, Stallone has to direct The Expendables movie series just to get some of these guys in a relevant action movie role again.
Aside from the entertainment industry, the media also plays its part in attacking testosterone and masculinity. Any time a masculine athlete is arrested, it becomes front page news. If a man commits a crime and happens to be an amateur bodybuilder, the headline always focuses on the word "bodybuilder." Stories are publicized when they think there is a link between high testosterone and violent crimes - never mind the fact that a legitimate link has NEVER been proven.
And what about steroids? As the ultimate shortcut towards more muscle mass and strength, roids have become demonized in many countries – especially the United States, where simple possession is a felony. In certain cases, you can actually be sent to prison just for possessing steroids. Now, a lot of this has to do with keeping professional athletes from juicing; but does this really warrant steroid possession being a felony crime, when alcohol and cigarettes are far more harmful, yet perfectly legal!?
Based on the war against masculinity, you would think that women are increasingly attracted to softer, metrosexual men these days. But is this truly the case? Or are women just pretending they like nice, pretty guys just because the media steers them in this direction?
The Guy who really gets the Girl in the End
Based on everything that we've discussed regarding the media and entertainment world, it's no wonder why ladies are giving the Johnny Depp and Steve Carell's of this world a try over the Brad Pitt's and Will Smith's. Thanks to the media, women attempt to convince themselves that the soft, humorous, understanding guys are what they want, even if they're subconsciously disgusted by these weaklings who couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag.
What truly astounds me in all of this is that feminists fully support the media-driven castration of guys, yet eventually complain that there are no real men left. Talk about confusing!
Regardless of what seeds the media implants in females' minds, the reality is that women still fantasize about masculine men. This is something that dates back tens of thousands of years, when women needed strong men to ensure the survival of them and their children. And despite all of the modern conveniences today, our brains are still hardwired like they were thousands of years ago.
Many characteristics that ensure survival are found in men with high testosterone levels. Strength, muscle mass, confidence, improved sexual performance, financial success and a sharper mind are just some of the benefits to being chock full of testosterone. And it's no secret that these qualities are all considered desirable by women. So while a Michael Cera-type may look cute and make women laugh, his puny arms and meekness have nothing on Chris Hemsworth.
What to consider Above All
While picking up hotties is important, this certainly isn't the only reason why boosting your testosterone levels is necessary. The most critical aspect to increasing testosterone while lowering estrogen levels is that it can improve your overall health. High test levels have been linked to a stronger heart, increased energy, less body fat, more happiness, higher income, and less chance of getting life-threatening diseases.
Obviously you don't want to let a feminist-driven media and entertainment world prevent you from attaining good health. So it's definitely worth doing whatever you can to boost your testosterone and drop your estrogen levels. Like I said before, taking supplementation like HCGenerate is a good way to do this. Of course, you'll want to hit the weights hard and eat clean too. But whatever steps you take, just be sure to make a strong effort to raise your testosterone.
Here's the link to grab your bottle of HCGenerate the Amazon store and give it a try with absolutely no risk and free next-day shipping.
