5'7" Kyle Kane was already known as an athletic prodigy after earning his kickboxing black belt as a 9 year-old. But the young man from Coventry, UK wasn't satisfied with just earning a black belt so he started hitting the gym.
Unlike most 12 year-olds who are busy playing Xbox 360 or riding their bikes around, Kane is in the gym four times a week - more than most adults! And all of the hard work has paid off since Kyle can lift more than most adults as well. He recently set a weightlifting record for his age group by deadlifting 140 kg (308 pounds).
Kane hopes to someday become an Olympic lifter who will bring home a gold medal for the UK. He's certainly well on his way to that goal, and doesn't plan on quitting anytime soon either. Kane said, "I just want to be as muscley as I can be. Other kids my age hang around the streets, but I like to train,"
He also talked about his passion for weightlifting by saying, "People may think I've been pushed into weightlifting, but I wouldn't do anything I didn't want to do. I do this because I love it." With a strong drive and impressive accomplishments as a 12 year-old, it's definitely possible that we could see Kyle Kane doing big things in the future.
